Volumetric modular construction system using Light Steel Framing and Cold Formed Steel delivers modules that stack to 20+ stories and use less 19lbs / psf of steel.
Precision locating features double as vertical tension connectors
Horizontal connector aligns and clamps modules, leaving the top face flush
The compact connection zone occupies only a 100mm x 100mm / 4" x 4" space
Strong horizontal connectors deliver the diaphragm action needed for shearwall-braced structures
Joist end clamp delivers moment capacity with high fixity and precision spacing to the joist / rim joist connection
The joist clamp requires only 2" of weld per joist to assemble fro low rise applications (4" in high rise)
A simple, proprietary "dimple" or "bead" stamped in the web of each joist (as it is rolled on CNC rolling machines) provides positive engagement without welding, or damage to the galvanized coating. The result is over 2500 lbs of tensile capacity and an effective torsion box floor assembly.
